1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
a. Account & Business Information
When you create a TALNT account or request a demo, we collect:
- Name, business email address, and phone number
- Company name and number of locations
- Job title and role within your organization
- Billing and payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card details)
b. Candidate Data
As part of the platform's recruiting features, you may input or import:
- Candidate names, email addresses, and phone numbers
- Work history, certifications, and employment details
- Notes, interview feedback, and hiring decisions
- Candidate communications and outreach history
You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate rights and consent to enter candidate data into the platform. TALNT processes this data on your behalf as a data processor.
c. Contact & Demo Form Submissions
When you submit a contact or demo request form, we collect the information you provide, including name, email, company, and message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
d. Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with TALNT, including:
- Pages viewed and features used
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- IP address and approximate location
- Session duration and click patterns
2. Cookies & Analytics
TALNT uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform and understand usage patterns. These include:
- Necessary cookies: Required for authentication and core platform function.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
- Preference cookies: Remember your settings and display preferences.
You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from using the platform.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the TALNT platform
- Respond to demo requests and support inquiries
- Send product updates, feature announcements, and recruiting insights (you may opt out)
- Process billing and manage your subscription
- Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
- Analyze usage trends to improve product features
4. Email Communications
We may send you emails related to your account, platform updates, and (with your consent) marketing communications. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out by emailing jordan@getplnr.com.
If you use TALNT's outreach features to contact candidates, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and any other applicable regulations governing commercial electronic communications.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data or candidate data. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Enrichment providers: If you enable enrichment integrations (Apollo, People Data Labs, etc.), candidate data may be sent to those services under their respective privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of TALNT, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: If TALNT is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you beforehand.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted data storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at jordan@getplnr.com.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you cancel your subscription, we retain data for 90 days before deletion, giving you time to export.
Candidate data you enter is retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted upon account closure unless you export it first. You may request deletion of specific candidate records at any time through the platform or by contacting us.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

9. Automated Decision-Making & AI
We process applicant information using automated tools, including AI, to help employers screen, score, and rank candidates. These tools assist human reviewers and do not make final hiring decisions on their own. Where required by law (e.g., GDPR Article 22, the EU AI Act, or NYC Local Law 144), candidates may have the right to be informed that automated tools are used, to request human review, and to request an alternative process. Contact the employer to whom you applied, or us at the address below, to exercise these rights.
10. Children's Privacy
TALNT is a business-to-business platform not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of TALNT after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
